I'm floating away on the sounds of this record right now... it's playing much too loud and I'm in heaven.

    Momentarily.

I've just broken in to Useless ID's new(ish) album (earlier this year). Punk time is best time! (I like all kinds of music, but ska / punk are my absolute favorite.)

I have been a huge fan of Doyle's since his Arc Angel days. His dad was a phenomenal drummer who worked with Stevie Ray Vaughn, and even wrote a song or two with him.
You would not believe how long it took me to figure out what album that song is on. Insane. Fantastic charity organization that I had never heard of until then.
Did you spot Wendy & Lisa from Prince's old band from the 80s? Or QuestLove from The Roots?
I have listened to that song far too often in the past two weeks.

I didn't pay too close attention to the video, but I didn't immediately recognize the musicians...

Keep in mind that I was born in 1993, Dan... I don't exactly remember what these people looked like in the '80's . Any adventures I have taken into the heart of old music has been an adventure into old music for me, not an adventure down memory lane. I wasn't there!

An old friend who moved to Austin caught her show, and her music, for the first time. Her studio recordings are great - her live performances are 100x better.

    You're welcome.

Thank you! For some odd reason, this made me think of an old favorite....

Also Dan, for some strange reason, whenever I get on Skype at the computer, it has all the songs you've listened to lately on it. So please don't listen to anything gross. LOL

Samantha Fish is awesome. She rarely plays in the Northeast and it's saddening.

This is some of the good stuff indeed.

The music, if not the mood.

Reminded me of this -- one of my all time favorites, and a definitely should listen even if you don't like U2. (It's just The Edge, by himself.)

It creates a nice atmosphere, which I like, but something about the vocal tracks in Lifehouse turn me off every time. It's like they took that '90's Grunge thing and transported it into the 2000's, but with some significant degradation.

Love U2. My first U2 cd was purchased by my mom way back in the 80s, but I was listening to them since their first album. Talk about musically growing.
