As some of you are aware, new updates were installed today on T4 servers. Due to these updates, there is a change in how wheat is treated for purposes of building resource fields or buildings, as opposed to being treated for consumption purposes. The explanation is below.
In the past players could find their villages into a dead end wheat supply situation. Reasons for that usually were:
- The hero resource production ended because the hero died or the resource attributes were modified.
- The +25% Plus bonus ended
- The destruction of wheat fields, the Flour mill and/or the bakery (Crop lock)
In order to keep the following sentences short, let's call "the wheat production available to build or upgrade a building or resource field" .. well, let's call it "Free Wheat.
Free wheat equals the production of wheat fields including bonuses of the Flour mill and bakery reduced by the number of inhabitants of the village. So neither the hero's production nor the Plus 25% Bonus influence Free Wheat.
To build or upgrade a building or resource field is only possible if this would not drop the Free wheat below 1 crop per hour.
To destroy the flour mill or bakery via the main building is only possible if this would not drop the Free Wheat below 1 crop per hour. Starting the Destruction of these buildings immediately decreases Free Wheat.
Upgrading a wheat field always increases the Free wheat, that is why it may always be built.
The hero has a basic wheat production of 6 wheat per hour no matter how the attribute points are set. This is ADDITION to the amount of resources the hero produces from the allocation of the resource points. (So if your hero is set to produce 40 wheat, he actually produces 46 wheat). This basic production follows the same rules as the usual hero resource production. So it's added to the production of the village that the hero belongs to. But it does not increase Free wheat.
This way the hero cannot starve anymore at home, since he supplies himself and since he is the last unit that would starve.
A dead hero still produces 6 wheat per hour.
When a hero is revived then his resource production starts at same time as his crop consumption.

If you still think you have a bug after looking at this explanation, please send an IGM to the Multihunter on your server to ask them to look at your production.
