Default NoFx's more biased Than JSZephy's Alliance Rankings!

So recently I’ve seen a severe lack of what I’d consider factual or realistic alliance rankings. I totally wrote this before JSZephy's post, great minds must think alike. No a wing and a confed are not the same thing if you believe they are then please stop reading. The rules of grammar do not apply to me.

Ranking generally goes like this, rating offensive abilities and defensive abilities, those are pretty cut and paste that's overall ability. Organization lends itself to the previous categories but it also includes stability and Overall teamwork.

I’m rating CD by quad, it’s silly to rate them any other way they have separate war fronts they all have different strengths and weaknesses. For argument sake I’m putting the NW branch of CD with the NE one.

Shadow – I don’t actually think you’re the tenth best alliance on this server I just want to take some time to vent. Truth be told Mostly deserves the spot. I don’t think you’re a real alliance whatsoever, you’re a path of least resistance group. I hope your members have more loyalty then your leadership. I’m not really bitter because in the two months you hid under the umbrella of protection that was offered by TH Dark and Nemesis against CD you did absolutely nothing. You were never real with anyone and I believe your alliance will be nothing but cannon fodder of CD.

Overall Ranking: 10
Offensive Ranking: 2
Defensive Ranking: 3
Organization: 3

TW – The biggest fence sitters I’ve seen in sometime, making ridiculous demands on CD got you biting off more then I believe you can chew, you’re in a good position with MTBS all over your quad but you need to step it up. You don’t have any major offensive players to speak of your defense is slightly better but still not respectable. Your size makes you the smallest of the three major entities in the SE. Your leadership seems solid but a bit ignorant to how politics work.

While I personally couldn’t name you key players because I don’t see you doing that much I hope you can grow as an alliance and your leaders can step up and lead by example.

Overall Ranking: 9
Offensive Ranking: 3
Defensive Ranking: 5
Organization: 3

Dark/JustUs – Dark is an interesting alliance, infested with spies from every walk of life I really question if Dark will fully meet it’s potential. Although their leadership is generally quite new to Travian politics and make some mistakes I feel they will go in the right direction.

Some fat trimming is needed. From what I’ve seen Dark’s loyal players are selfless and willing to do what is needed for their alliance. I believe your organization needs to improve. I wonder if you were in a different quad if you’d have been better off, the SW is a very competitive alliance and although I think your top 60 players are ready for conflict I don’t know how the others will hold up. On the same note, as previously mentioned hardship breeds character and if Dark only had 2 wings I’d likely have ranked them higher.

I see more improvement from Dark then any other alliance on the server. If it continues you will be a force to be reckoned with. Right now that’s not so much the case.

Key players include: Tuna, Girlygirl, Malarky, and TheVoice

Overall Ranking: 8
Offensive Ranking: 6
Defensive Ranking: 4
Organization: 3

Easy Co/Fox Co – They’ve fallen a bit in my eyes, recently they’ve won some major battles with both offensive and defensively I can only hope that will continue. They’ve been beaten pretty hard out of the center of the map; while I can relate to the issues they have with CD in regards to defending and attacking around 0,0.

Easy and Fox company do apparently have relief coming, KOF and Mostly have thrown their support to the companies and will likely make things a little easier. I expect things to really heat up in the NE very soon and Easy/Fox Co to really make or break their war with CD.

It’s now officially sink or swim time, your members are probably the best natured in the game and that’s a strength, the NE is infested with spies making large operations impossible. Your position will be highly influenced with how effective UIA is.

Key members include: Murr, Jk5004 and Baiano

Overall Ranking: 7
Offensive Ranking: 5
Defensive Ranking: 6
Organization: 5

CD SE Branch – I believe likely the weakest link in the CD chain, bickering infighting lack of compromise by all the CD wings have made the SE almost a lost cause. With full support I’d rate them much higher, but in reality I’ll be surprised if the SE even stays with CD.

Ironically the whole TW situation may have been the nail in the coffin. While I don’t think TW makes any real difference from a militaristic standpoint it’s almost like a beacon of what’s to come. The complete and utter lack of respect for you is obvious I bet if your alliance voted again to merge with CD or not they’d vote against it. You’ve got members attacking your own while still undertag. You are losing members daily. You haven’t won any large battle in the SE and it doesn’t look like you’re getting much for help in a vastly outnumbered quad.

That’s a whole lot of whooey over some fairly general CD statements. I do think they have some strong points, and some of the confusion with the forum shift may have effected your early war efforts. Your leadership does care very much about your well being, that’s the only reason I would imagine anyone would agree to the terms of CD they had. They seem very determined to make it work and hang their heads high. I’m not convinced it’s possible but I think if any leaders can pull it off it’s the SE’s branch.

Key members include: Jazz, Brennon, and Saint Philip

Overall Ranking: 6
Offensive Ranking: 6
Defensive Ranking: 6
Organization: 5

UIA – What CD’s SE branch not ranked in the top 5, derep this chump! I know I was torn here, because battle experience means so much and I’m not entirely sold that the Trinity Iliad war was enough to ready said alliances for CD’s powerhouse NE/NW members. I see small flashes of genius within this group but the mid level players certainly need to step it up. UIA does have a lot of positives going for it, they’re pretty much the most secure quad, only small remnants of CD mostly on the NE border remain.

UIA I think need to make a move soon, I’ve heard whispers of aggression on CD but I don’t think they’ve really made a large effort towards it. The longer they wait the worse position they will be in when they decide to make their move.

Key members include: Ajax, Boz, Darknessinvalor, and Vito.

Overall Ranking: 5
Offensive Ranking: 6
Defensive Ranking: 8
Organization: 5

MBTS – Gasp! I know I was a naysayer going into their conflict in the SE but I think my opinion was wrong. I believe they’re stronger then Thaco the help of TW just seals their position as the ones to beat. MTBS seem to do very well defending and attacking. I think they will continue to improve. Their leadership has a decent amount of experience and they do have the numbers advantage.

I know this will likely be the most contested ranking in this because the horde seems to really dislike them, you can make as many hilarious videos as you’d like from the analyzer I see a pretty clear advantage to MBTS.

Key members include: Omegafire, Bossik, Bprice and Darkstoic

Overall Ranking: 4
Offensive Ranking: 7
Defensive Ranking: 8
Organization: 7

Nemesis – Sure it’s not really surprise nor should it be that I rank Nemesis fairly high, Nemesis was the first major fight CD has faced on this server who didn’t roll over and die. I still get IGM’s about how alliances want to fight CD. Stop messaging me, I know and I have been. Nemesis despite some mergers in the past seems to be gel’ing well. Lots of untamed aggression and some bad choices in decisions has effected Nemesis in a somewhat negative way choosing to ally themselves with Shadow turned out to be a bust as they were playing both sides against each other. Difficult times show true characters and there is no alliance in this game I’d rather have backing me than Nemesis.

I could go on and on about Nemesis but that’d be quite stupid I’m not going to list key players because I feel Nemesis shares the load better than any alliance in the game, again if you read my disclaimer you should know this view might be flawed.

Overall Ranking: 3
Offensive Ranking: 9
Defensive Ranking: 6
Organization: 8

CD|NE/NW branch – I’m really not sure what your deal is, you win some and you lose some. A lot of people myself included feel like you’ve got a pretty easy time in the NE. Recently KOF caught you with your pants down, which from my perspective is rather embarrassing. I think a lot of your members aren’t tried and proven enough. Your big players do their role well. I still don’t see the organization I’d expect from a top tier alliance and I think that will hurt you in the long run.

Key players include: Mememe, Jzephyr, Fovere.
Overall Ranking: 2
Offensive Ranking: 9
Defensive Ranking: 8
Organization: 7

CD|SW branch – This may have come to a surprise as some, for awhile I felt that the NE branch was the stronger wing but CD has done a wonderful job of picking up the pace as of late. They do rely a bit more on their key players but the same thing can be said for many alliances. What the SW branch lacks in coordination they make up for in a never ending recruiting drive that would put Jehovah witnesses to shame.

Key players include Grizzit, Deakon, Wrlck and Starlette. Honorable mention goes to Einar and Brien.

Overall Ranking: 1
Offensive Ranking: 10
Defensive Ranking: 8
Organization: 7

Thanks for reading.
Oh and because I want more responses, CD is PHing the server and I have a big lesbian crush on Starlette.

That was a pretty good read. I don't think you're bull-dike enough for Star though.

Thank for the analysis. It has nice descriptions which mine lacks. Also, as "biased" as yours is it seems pretty accurate to me. Sure I'd tweak some things but that's why I have my own analysis. Also, thanks for pointing out the things that my area can do to improve, it's nice to have feedback.

I think TW deserves the last place.
Could you change the format a little? It's kinda hard to read.

Lemme see what I can do, I was kind of pissed on the fact Zeph beat me so I just whipped it out, I'll go make it pretty.

It turns out bolding and size changes increases the maxed characters allowed. As such I'd need to make two posts to format it. I had to delete a few sentences just to make it fit into one post sorry about the readability.

I'm simultaneously flattered and nervous about the background plans NoFx has in place to flip the rankings around.

EDIT: tried to rep, but apparently I've been too opinionated recently.

To be completely honest I could have stopped at 8, but who does a top 8 alliance ranking? 10 just seemed like a nice number and I wanted to emphasize my opinion of Shadow.
