Default Events of Me and My Interesting Made-Up Travian Life

It was another day in Travian. The villagers moving this way and that. I just got out of a meeting with some alliance members to discuss things about this village touching mine. We couldn't find anything about it or who owned it. When the raiding party didn't return from it yesterday, and the scouts the day before, we knew we would have to do something. We could see Teuton troops going in and out of it occasionally. We determined that me and another near alliance member would go check it out. As is common in most villages we were not only the Senators, but also the heroes.

The next day, after a good night's rest, we set out. Me with my long Imperian blade and my friend, Supilliest, with his shorter Legionnaire sword. On the way there I told him some details I could see from one of the mountains near my village. I didn't climb very high though, for I am afraid of heights. They had no wall. The outsides of their village has an iron mine, a clay pit, and a woodcutter. On the other side I could see a wheat field, but no more resource tiles because their warehouse granary and a group of trees blocked them. They had a residence, embassy, rally point, high level barracks, high level main building, and a town hall. It was obvious that they had demolished some buildings. Now back to our walking. Other peoples troops passed us often. It was a busy day for everybody. When we got to the village everything was different than before. Few buildings remained, the clay pit, woodcutter, wheat field, and iron mine were gone. The embassy and main building were too. They were mostly demolished, but the main building was catapulted, by fire catapults. I checked the smoldering ashes of the main building. It had some reports left. Armies of Imperians and Fire Catapults had come, but I couldn't see who had sent them though because they were partially burnt. I continued toward the trees. The oddest thing was that there weren't any dead troops around. No blood either. When we reached the trees we looked around. The warehouse was close. So was the granary. They were both full. There were several crannies, but none of them had anything in them. As I was looking around a trap suddenly sprung upon me! I was trapped. I called out to Supilliest who was a ways away and relatively scared. He cut a hole in the trap through which I was able to get out. I drew my long blade, raised it far above my head, and destroyed the trap in one slice. As adventured past it I found the trapper. That meant this wasn't a Teuton village, it was a Gaul village! After we pushed through the trees we were at the granary. They had done a good job of disguising this as a Teuton village. Water pumps were scratched, poor architecture, trees growing in the middle of the village, no order whatsoever, even the report was sloppy like a Teuton would write it. After we ate at the granary we continued to walk around it. When we rounded it we were both surprised and scared for two reasons. One, it was a 15c, that meant they had more villages. Two, there was two Catapults there. All the wheat fields were lv 11. We decided to get out of there. When we got back to the rally point we looked around and right there behind a hill there were rams, catapults and troops from every tribe. As soon as we saw we looked back I went in the town hall first and right when I got in Supilliest was spotted I jumped behind a table and hid. I heard the troops fighting. He didn't give up without a fight, but like everyone knew would, he died. I waited there. It was quiet. I peeked through the window. They were gone. I came outside and picked him up. I started back to my village to have someone take him back to his village were he could be revived. As I neared my village, I saw an army of Teutonic Knights riding out, and I smelt the terrible smell of dead, burning flesh. I rushed in, handing Supilliest to the nearest person. When I got there, I ran into the main building and checked the reports. This one was on top:

Subject: 3-Hatyreet attacks Ullonasist
Sent: on 08/27/08 at 06:41:24 pm

Attacker Simpleet from the village 3-Hatyreet
Units 0 0 0 0 0 2000 30 50 0 0
Casualties 0 0 0 0 0 152 2 4 0 0
Bounty 234 195 234 58
City Wall has been destroyed
Residence has been destroyed

Defender Ullon from the village Ullonasist
Units 25 1000 15 3 0 0 0 0 0 0
Casualties 15 1000 15 3 0 0 0 0 0 0

It was bad. Over a thousand were dead. I had either to sleep in the hero's mansion or I could sleep in the main building as I did when we first founded the village. They did a good job of hiding and getting rid of the resources though; they started building a residence with them. I decided to sleep in the main building because there was basically just a lot of cold hard stone and a bed in the hero's mansion and cobwebs were everywhere in there too.

When I woke up I had a sore back. It was because I didn't have a decent bed. They had taken my old bed in the main building and moved it to the residence. It was warm at least, it wouldn't be in the hero's mansion. I had slept in one of the builders bed while he built the residence. While walking to the residence, I noticed not much else was going on. All the resources have been going to building new troops. After entering, I examined it. There wasn't much there. It would be a while until there was because, once again, of making troops. I had to start making more Ulloos, the currency my town used. I started printing them. They were pretty basic. There was a number in the corner and a picture of me, Ullon, in the middle. While doing this I heard a knock at the door. I answered it. It was my chronicler, Hartvitus. He told me that the person who attacked me belongs to the alliance ~M~M~M~, Mirage. They were an alliance that was about our strength. They had been destroying several other alliances around us. I rushed off to embassy. There I wrote an MM telling the alliance to declare war on ~M~M~M~, and launch times. Or at least it said it was an MM. I actually told each person a different time. If I knew any thing about Mirage it was that they liked spies. I hand-delivered them on my trusty steed, Trusticus, to make sure that they got there safely. The attacks would be launched the next day about noon. I decided to go to bed. I had a long day of riding; Trusticus did too.

The next morning, I was awakened by a knock. Outside was Supilliest with several thousands of offensive troops. Some were his and some were mine. Apparently my village used the great barracks to get it done faster. I started to run out of the village. It was 11:45 am and I had to get moving with the army soon, but the guards wouldn't let me out. They said I should eat breakfast first. They were right, I was hungry and I could catch up to the troops. I sent them out and started eating. It was rather bland. It took a while to get ready to eat without a bakery. My servants had to bake the bread. We got a flour mill built three days ago. After eating I quickly grabbed my sword and had a servant get my horse. I quickly mounted Trusticus and set out. It was now almost 12:30. The battle would start in an hour. I motioned to Trusticus to ride faster; he did. We were going very fast now. Halfway through the ride I saw another alliance member's Theutates Thunders set out. They were going fast, it wouldn't be long until they caught me. I figured I would be there soon. I had no clock because sun-dials weren't portable, but that Gauls village must have one, and they would try to get there the right time. Sure enough, as I started to meet the front of the cavalry army, I stared winding in between the paths of wheat fields and clay pits. When I got to the village my Imperians were already fighting. Me being there seemed to boost their morale. It was another Roman's village so cavalry would have been a better troop choice against their Praetorians. They had some Legionnaires, but not many. Their wasn't any reinforcements yet. That meant that the spy wasn't a stronger member of the alliance. Finally after the battle was 2/3 over Reinforcements started coming. Alliance members catapults had already been here though and destroyed most of the village. Finally an enemy Teuton's spearman stabbed me. I fell off my horse and it started to get fuzzy. Supilliest was on foot and got struck down much earlier. Trusticus ran over to a cart and an Imperian hauled me into it. They took me back to the village, revived me and put me in my bed without waking me up.

The next day there was a lot more troop building. We were going to attack the traitor today, but the battle reports are getting figured out in my main building by my and some other alliance member's chroniclers. In the mean time, I saw some Imperians, Equites Imperatorises, and Fire Catapults coming over a hill. The Praetorians readied themselves at the gates, while the Legionnaires charged at them. The chronicler finished the report of yesterday's battle and came running to me unaware of the battle that was going on. An EI fired an arrow and hit him in the side. He fell down. He wasn't dead just injured. Some villagers took him back into the main building, while I took my sword, bow, and arrows, and ran to the stable. The stable master saw me coming and ordered one of the stable hands to saddle up my horse. I jumped over the fence and got on Trusticus. A stable hand opened the gate for me. I rode out and after the Catapults. They were aiming for the main building. The chimney had been hit once. As I approached the gate the Praetorians moved to give me passage. Legionnaires were holding off the cavalry pretty well so I could go straight for the catapults. I had to ride around the back to cut the rope the let them fire, but I had to be careful because each one had a Legionnaire with it and I had to reach over the fire to cut it. The first was easy, I rounded a corner and cut it from the side. Upon me doing that, the flaming stone fell down and set the catapult aflame. The Legionnaire was trampled under my horse. On the next one, I raised my arm above the flame and cut the rope. Same thing happened to the Legionnaire on that one. I repeated for a ways. Then a Legionnaire pulled off his cape lit it on fire and threw it at me. He was trampled, but it hurt me. I cut the rope on the next one and I figured the flame from it would burn the catapult up. The other Legionnaires though that was a good idea so they did it as well. I started getting badly burned and I didn't cut half the catapults. The half I did cut I got burnt from cutting. Finally, I stopped and pulled out my bow. I started shooting the Legionnaires. I worked well until they started firing at the main building again and the fire from the destroyed catapults neared me. I started to light arrows from the flames and shoot them at the remaining Fire Catapults. They started to burn nicely. I ran back to the village to see how things were going back there. Most of the Imperians were dead, but lots of the Praetorians were too. I got off Trusticus, put him in the stable, and went to the main building. The chronicler seemed okay. There was a hole in a wall there, but they got the flames put out. I checked his report and sent out a message saying the person and time to attack. I had three people deliver it to everybody just to be safe. I would have myself, but I was much too tired, and too hurt.

When I woke up the next morning, I didn't fell too much better. I still had the burns. They were a little better at least. I walked out to the wheat oasis a few fields away. There was a lake there. I started to swim in it. It belonged to a stronger alliance member, but I didn't think he would mind. I decided to take a day off. The village was going to be run by another alliance for a while. He had several villages so he didn't mind too much; he was used to it. The attack would be back soon. They set out in the middle of night, got there 2 hours ago and would be back in 45 minutes. It would take about that long to get back. I started to walk back. The sun was shining brightly. I would have gotten sunburned if I didn't wrap that wet towel around me. It made the burns feel better too. The merchants rode out to get some lotion to help too. Most of the people were very nice. It might just be because I was the Senator. Today I wasn't the Senator though. I wasn't sure what to do. It was about half hour till the report got made. My ancestors were a mix of miners and farmers. I didn't want to work in the field or clay pit because I wanted to be in the shade. It was itchy in forest. I decided to mine a little. This meant spending some resources on picks and such, but somebody could use them after I was done. It was hard work. It helped my burns because it was nice and cool. It also reminded my of the hero's mansion. I was thinking about sleeping there that night. I went outside and checked the time. The report was done so, I dropped the pickax, and walked back. When I got to the main building nobody was there. I looked around. There was the report about the lotion on top. It cost quite a bit. Below it was the battle report. There was not much troop loss. After taking care of that guy we decided to take out the Mirage members. It would be a slow process, but we would do it eventually. I decided to the hero's mansion. While laying in bed trying to get to sleep, I heard a yell. I went downstairs to see who it was. It was Shornicus, my servant, with the lotion. He gave me the lotion and went back to make some flour for breakfast. I put some on and went to bed.

The next morning, I woke up.(Surprise! Surprise!) My burns felt much better. That lotion did the trick. It was cool. I got dressed and looked out the balcony. The people were moving busily. The merchants left for a long trip to get some urns and vases for decoration. I was hungry. I went downstairs and outside. I was wondering where Shornicus put the bread. I checked the grain mill; nothing was there. I checked the barracks. They said they got their bread a while ago, and then Shornicus went over to the residence to put my bread there to keep it warm. I went there and grabbed my bread. I started to eat it walking over to the rally point. We were attacking another member of ~M~M~M~ today. When I got there I told them the time and place to be when we left and that the price of treason was death. While waiting to attack. I went and paid the architects. 40 Ulloos apiece was the amount. It was the same amount as a soldier. These were the highest salarys in the village. The field workers were 30 a week, and the merchants were 24 a week. Building upkeepers only got 8 a week, while my servant got 16. I had to also go pay the barracks instructor today. When I did that, It was almost time to go. This time we met out in between a clay pit and an iron mine. I started to head out there. It was a beautiful day. We got to enjoy it while walking there at least even if not while there. When I got there, we set out. I didn't bring Trusticus today. It slow walking there. We were splitting attacks on different members some attacks were real and some were not. Ours was. We got a settler today. It was a fine lad with a heart for adventure. I would be moving in between a lot so I needed somebody to take over the local affairs. I started to think about it, but my thinking was cut short. We were entering into a big fight. The clay wall was almost destroyed, and we were a bit late. I stayed with my men and led them into the middle of the town. When we got there, the local villagers started hitting us with things like pots, pans, brooms, and chairs. We broke what they threw at us and scared them away. The catapults started thundering around us. The embassy went first. It was a bad aim. Then the main building. The rally point was shattered by the blow of a Fire Catapult next. Spearmen and Teutonic Knights stared charging at us. I drew my blade and took out lots of the Spearmen. The Teutonic Knights attacked my Imperians. I rushed to their aid. Quickly killing several of them together. We turned our attention some Paladins coming toward us. They were out of the village though. This meant that when the Rams destroyed the wall, it came tumbling down on them. A Catapult hit the granary. It fell down a level or two, but it was still there. Me and my men starting charging after the fleeing Spearmen. When we caught up to them we finished them off. I turned and started to leave. The troops followed. When we got back, I found out that Suppilliest's target had guessed right, and was reinforced. He was currently being revived. I decided to go see him tomorrow morning.

I woke up by the sun today. The hero's mansion had it's bed in front of the balcony. It must be because I slept on my other side that the sun woke me up this morning, but not yesterday. I decided to stay up. I got dressed and went outside. It was nice and cool and the sun was beautiful. When I got outside, I was kind of hungry, but the food wasn't made. I knew where the flour was though. I went over to the well and got a bucket of water. I carried it over to the residence then I got some flour. I brought it over to the residence and poured it in the water. I kneaded it and baked it. I didn't get bread though. I got a clay-like material. This meant I would have to start over. Thankfully, as I was going to the flour mill, Shornicus gave me some bread. I went back to the residence and took about 150 Ulloos. I went around town paying the workers, while eating my big loaf of bread. It was good. It was still warm. As I was going around town, I saw a chicken coop. That was what I forgot, eggs! After I had eaten and paid people, I went over to my neighboring town. Supilliest was feeling decent. We took our troops and did an early morning attack. Well, when we left it was early morning. By the time we got there it was almost 2:00 pm. We cleared them out no problem. Supilliest sent some Fire Catapults. He destroyed the marketplace. After which, I took a bunch of resources and headed home. It was starting to get dark. I sent some building orders, and went to bed.

I was awakened even earlier the next day. A messenger said that troops would invade Supilliest's village in just a matter of minutes. I grabbed my sword and rushed towards the stable. When I got there, I grabbed my bow and some arrows. I jumped on Trusticus. I rode out and towards Supilliest at full speed. The soldiers were there already. When I neared it, I was about ready to touch the enemy's army. An Axeman swiped, but missed. I aligned myself with the rest of the defenders. The Praetorians raised their shields. I was in back. I was actually in the village. Few of the other defenders were. I rode around anxiously. Once when I went behind a building, I didn't come back out. I rode out another gate, around the side of the village, and into the back of the army. That's were the Trebuchets were. Not being roman made them easier to destroy, but it would take longer. I got a ways away, grabbed my sword in my right hand, held it out to my left, and charged. As I went along, I would cut the branches rendering them useless. Even if it didn't cut clear through them it would break them some. After I was trough I pulled out my arrows and started to shoot some people. Then, I rode over to my troops and helped them fight. Suddenly, the wall collapsed. A bunch of rams, and troops were invading from the back. I rode over there to stop them. A bunch of Roman attackers suddenly got here. Their Fire Catapults were hitting all around us. Buildings were falling down all around me. Finally, the embassy falls on the troops I was fighting. I ride back out to the catapults. I looked for a better way to destroy them this time. I took arrows out, lit them, and started to shoot at the catapults. I also shot the Legionnaires. It worked well enough, but the fight continued. I went over here and fought then I went there and fought. There were lots of troops. Some other attacks came too, but some reins did too. After it was over, I was tired. Supilliest's village was half gone, and both alliances took staggering troop loss. The fight was almost 2 hours long. It was only about 7 in the morning when we finished, but I wanted to sleep till next morning. I fought the urge and ran the town. I said to make another settler, build more Praetorians, and upgrade the granary. I was just to tired though. I fell down in the street finally and was out cold. Some people carried me to the residence.

The next day was important. Our 3rd settler would be done in an hour. I had to choose a local leader, and quickly. I had 3 people wanting it, but one didn't quite pass the test I gave. One was a good, clever and imaginative young man; while the other was an older, more wise man. I decided it was better to have Olcius, the older. I spent the rest of the time telling him how to run the village well, and I told Yeciom, the younger, that he could have the 3rd village. The first settler was going to be the local leader of the 2nd. The third settler was now done so we set out. I was going to the new village to help build it up. The scout report said it looked a lot like our current village. We used to have another village that was our original second village. We called it 2Ullab this one we were going to call 3Ulleenta. This morning we renamed this village 1Ullonasist. 2Ullab was destroyed by the alliance ☼S☼B☼, Sawblade. My alliance did win the war with them though. We were now approaching the village. My settlers got to the middle of the resource fields, dug a moat, put up a flag, built a main building, started mining iron, digging clay, chopping wood, & harvesting wheat. They worked very fast. When they were done they started to upgrade a clay pit & upgrade the main building. Merchants from the first village were arriving with resources soon. I was going to go back with them as they were also supposed to bring Trusticus. As they came in, I helped unload the resources, and mounted Trusticus. I turned around and rode back. I couldn't keep up with the merchants for long. They had very well trained and specially bred horses. Trusticus was too, but he was more for strength as he had to constantly carry around my weapons in case I ran into an enemy. Trusticus did just have a colt though. He might be able to ride as fast as the merchant horses too, in due time. I told the stablemaster to start on training Epinoticus, the colt, for me to ride on when I wanted to go faster. He said he would. I went and put in some building orders for both towns, ate, and went to bed.

The next day I was awakened by a noise downstairs in the hero's mansion. My sword was down there. I reached into my trophy case and grabbed a mace I got from a powerful Maceman I once defeated. Holding it I cautiously walked down the stairs. When I reached the bottom, I looked around. Over in the other corner I saw something. It was a man taking some valuables that were shipped in not long ago. I rushed towards him yelling with mace in hand. He dropped the bag and dropped to the floor. The only problem was these valuables were mostly vases. When they hit the floor they all shattered. I called some Imperians to come and arrest the thief. While he was taking him away, Supilliest came running through the gate. He ran over to me. Grabbing me by the arm he started running back to his. He said about how a Paladin hero named Obin and lots of troops just attacked and another attack from a Roman was coming soon. I told someone to bring my sword. I could not. When I got there the EI's were already entering into his fields. My merchant arrived when they were about ten yards away. The arrows were beginning to be shot at us. Supilliest got hit early, but he stayed fighting. His legionaries died on the other attack. The Teutons were coming again soon with catapults. I did not draw my sword. There was no need. They were all shooting arrows. The townspeople got some bows and started firing back. I handed the mace to my merchant. I hid behind a building and started to chat with him. I asked him how Epinoticus was doing; he said he was fine. Supilliest got hit again. He was now staggering, but he was alive. Feeling I should help, I ran out another entrance and out around to the other side so that I could attack from the rear of the army. When I first struck it startled the horse he was under. It leaped up on his hind legs and neighed as loud as it could. This drew everyone's attention. They all charged me. They quickly defeated me. This did allow Supilliest's troops to attack. The EI's fell down quickly. Supilliest did get shot a third time shortly after I ran out the gate. They rushed me off to my village. An ally Gaul came and stopped the catapults at least. When I woke up it was after noon. They filled me in on what happened and then I went to eat. They got some fresh fruit today. It was good. I hadn't had apples in a long time. I also had the bread as normal. After I ate, I went to the new town. They grew a lot since yesterday. I walked around and looked at the new warehouse. It looked small. It was only level one. I talked to some people about new buildings and headed back to the first village. When I got there, they were upgrading the academy. I ate a little bread and went to sleep.

The next day, the alliance had already destroyed those two villages that attacked Supilliest. A traveling minstrel was visiting today. He was a flautist. I listened to him awhile. I knew I could not give Ulloos because they would have no worth outside of our town. I gave him shelter for the night and three meals. I also gave him an apple pie we made. I didn't particularly like apple pie compared to some others, but it was much better than nothing. I told them to build a town hall. The new village already had a level 2 residence with this one shipping to it. I was going to host a party tonight. We didn't need it for the next village, but I knew we would need a lot for the one after that. I went into the embassy and started to read the forums. While I was reading, a small raid came into the village. It didn't bother us much as we lost no troops. After I finished reading the forums, I went to visit Supilliest. He said he felt fine. The attack killed all his troops, damaged his siege workshop, and damaged his wall some though. I went back to my village, paid some workers, paid the minstrel, started the party, and went to bed in the residence.
