Well the forums have certainly been interesting this past week. You've all given me some good laughs, and a headache or two from trying to read those walls of text. Remember to play nice, and as Thumper says "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" (of course, that would take half of the fun out of the forums, lol
)And so, without further ado, I present to all you analysis junkies, Lynxbobcat's Analysis # 14. Disclaimer: Alliance #8 – 10 are not necessarily good enough to be top ten, however, since there are none with a higher number by my system of ranking, they are on it. There may very well be other alliances that were lower in ranking, but better overall. # 10 – A of A Map Members: 42 Average Population: 1518 Top 20 players: 0 Top 20 offensive players: 0 Top 20 defensive players: 1 Radius: 113.31 Fields Density: 1.58 pop/field Quads: SW Comments: I’m not really sure how they got on here, but here they are. Was part of UC for a bit, and are now back to their original selves. # 9 – T&A Map Members: 56 Average Population: 1728 Top 20 players: 0 Top 20 offensive players: 0 Top 20 defensive players: 0 Radius: 230.2 Fields Density: 0.58 pop/field Quads: SW Comments: T&A has lasted a long time. They’re in the top 20 alliances, so their pop is pretty high, and they require large armies, but in order to have a chance at winning the game, they need to get some more members. # 8 – FRENZY (FRENZY, FRENZYII) Map Members: 104 Average Population: 1806 Top 20 players: 1 Top 20 offensive players: 0 Top 20 defensive players: 0 Radius: 272.0 Fields Density: 0.83 pop/field Quads: NE, SE Comments: FRENZY and PNE are apparently butt-buddies, despite others’ misgivings that PNE will turn on them as soon as they are no longer useful.... # 7 – HMR/NVL Map Members: 63 Average Population: 2379 Top 20 players: 0 Top 20 offensive players: 0 Top 20 defensive players: 3 Radius: 0.0 Fields Density: 0.0 pop/field Quads: SW Comments: Well, the Hammer and Anvil formed quickly, and is seems to be disintegrating just as quickly. About fifty-some members left to create 70s, so EDGE and That70s obviously did not cohere that well. # 6 – =V= (=V=,-V-) Map Members: 58 Average Population: 2857 Top 20 players: 0 Top 20 offensive players: 0 Top 20 defensive players: 0 Radius: 368.6 Fields Density: 0.37 pop/field Quads: Centre, NE, cluster at 0,-225, outliers Comments: =V= formed a new wing on the 28, presumably so they can add more players. They seem quite strong and are allied with PNE, and are participating in the war against SPQR and M-E. They do, however, need some more players. # 5 – 70s Map Members: 52 Average Population: 2136 Top 20 players: 0 Top 20 offensive players: 0 Top 20 defensive players: 2 Radius: 291.5 Fields Density: 0.42 pop/field Quads: SW Comments: With the tag 70s and the name W.T.A.W (Well, That Almost Worked!) it is quite obvious who these are: these are previous That70s players that found HMR and NVL not to their liking. Good luck. # 4 – Pack (Pack - F,Pack - T,Pack - W,Pack - !,Pack-NK) Map Members: 292 Average Population: 2466 Top 20 players: 3 Top 20 offensive players: 1 Top 20 defensive players: 0 Radius: 478.9 Fields Density: 1.00 pop/field Quads: NW, with outliers Comments: That NK and Pack merged was quite interesting, especially as we had had vehement denials that such a thing would ever happen. Now that the major powers in the NW are together, what will it mean for the rest of the NW? Does Pack intend to go after another alliance? # 3 – PNE (PNE,PNE˛) Map Members: 109 Average Population: 3011 Top 20 players: 2 Top 20 offensive players: 6 Top 20 defensive players: 1 Radius: 271.4 Fields Density: 1.45 pop/field Quads: NE Comments: The amount of posturing over the war between PNE and SPQR & M-E is hilarious. Seriously, you people had me laughing a lot. PNE is the big bully that is trying to chase the other kids out of its playground . PNE may be a bigger kid than SPQR and M-E, but there are more of them. If they stick together and coordinate their defence well, they could come out of this war relatively undamaged, while PNE would lose many hammers. On the other hand, if PNE scares the other two enough that people start switching alliances or deleting, the war is already half won. We shall see.# 2 – RATAN (RATAN,RATAN X) Map Members: 85 Average Population: 4077 Top 20 players: 7 Top 20 offensive players: 7 Top 20 defensive players: 0 Radius: 189.5 Fields Density: 3.04 pop/field Quads: SW Comments: It is obvious, just by looking at the world analyzer, that RATAN is active, however they have practically dropped off the ends of the earth in relation to the forum, as no one has posted any comments about them for many weeks. RATAN has been abandoned for new, more interesting [flame] bait. # 1 – KoN/KoNu/KwtrsN Map Members: 167 Average Population: 3239 Top 20 players: 5 Top 20 offensive players: 5 Top 20 defensive players: 3 Radius: 195.6 Fields Density: 4.51 pop/field Quads: SE Comments: KoN is amazingly strong – I was shocked at their density. Although lately not much has been heard about them either, one can tell they are working by the disappearance of various smaller alliances in the SE, and their massive population growth. |

The next analysis after this one will be changed a bit. Only alliances with more two or more wings will get on the analysis. If an alliance doesn't have a second wing by now, they aren't going to be able to do anything except annoy the larger alliances. This does not mean that one wing alliances that split into two wings will be considered - you also have to have over 55 players
ex: =V= has only 58 members, with two wings, however they have obviously split so they can add more players. If it seems obvious to me that an alliance has split into two wings simply to get on/stay on the analysis, I won't consider them. (although why my analysis would possibly affect an alliance that much, I don't know) |

SbW is NOT higher than the others, and I don't think SbW should be "placed higher", I think # 8 through # 12 are about the same in how good they are, and # 13 to 15 can be clumped together with them, but closer to the bottom.
