Well, a lot has changed since I last wrote an analysis. A few alliances that were at the top have now fallen to the pits, namely SBP, ~KoH~, and, CRAP. They considered themselves to be powerful enough to take on their peers, but when the dust settled, it was clear that it was not their peers that they had taken on, but their superiors. It is highly doubtful that they shall ever rise to power again. The ranks of those left have shifted around drastically, and there are new faces on the scenes, waiting in the background, watching for their chance for power. Some would rather fly under that radar, and may be keeping those low pop members and wings just for that reason, so do not underestimate such alliances.
The offencive, defencive, and top player ranks were taken at 2:00 am EST, the time when the travian analyzer website updates. # 10 – SPQR Map Members: 59 Average Population: 884 Top 20 players: 0 Top 20 offensive players: 0 Top 20 defensive players: 1 Radius: 156.7 Fields Density: 0.68 pop/field Quads: NE Comments: There is never much to say about SPQR. They seem to have the ability to enjoy themselves, through noble-ish humour. They have fairly good confederates, and do not seem to be the focus of any alliance’s war-mongers. However, with the way things have been changing lately, who knows how long they may last? #9 - FRENZY Map Members: 59 Average Population: 950 Top 20 players: 1 Top 20 offensive players: 0 Top 20 defensive players: 0 Radius: 128.3 Fields Density: 1.08 pop/field Quads: NE Comments: In the last two weeks, Frenzy has lost its one wing, and many of its weaker members. It is clear that there was some major pruning going on. They now seem quite a bit more formidable, and seem to have snagged the interest and respect of ICE and FIRE, their confederates. This would seem to imply that there is more to Frenzy than is easily seen. # 8 - T&A Map Members: 57 Average Population: 998 Top 20 players: Top 20 offensive players: 1 Top 20 defensive players: 1 Radius: 126.0 Fields Density: 1.14 pop/field Quads: SW Comments: What was said for SPQR, can also be said here, except that T&A seems more serious and, well, aggressive. #7 – EDGE (EDGE I, EDGE II, EDGE SE, EDGE-U) Map Members: 169 Average Population: 1031 Top 20 players: 1 Top 20 offensive players: 0 Top 20 defensive players: 6 Radius: 172.0 Fields Density: 2.02 pop/field Quads: SE, SW Comments: Other than EDGE getting their SE wing basically dismantled, they seem to be remaining intact. They have proven themselves to be able to hold their own during a firefight, but whether they can do much more than that.... If any of you have been reading Evil-Jake’s Leadership, Politics & Propoganda 101, you would understand when I say that Edge seems that it is a bobcat. #6 – Pack FTW (Pack - F,Pack - T,Pack - W) Map Members: 173 Average Population: 1182 Top 20 players: 2 Top 20 offensive players: 3 Top 20 defensive players: 0 Radius: 198.5 Fields Density: 1.65 pop/field Quads: NW Comments: Pack and NK have just finished dismantling SBP. I think that, although many have predicted (and wanted) Pack’s demise, we must now take them into consideration. Such dismantling is evidence of true skill, good coordination, and solid leadership. #5 - NK Map Members: 56 Average Population: 1251 Top 20 players: 0 Top 20 offensive players: 0 Top 20 defensive players: 1 Radius: 155.4 Fields Density: 0.92 pop/field Quads: NW Comments: The Nifty Kittens have not shown their true might before now, preferring to skulk in the background. However, it is now obvious that what we suspected all along is true; they are powerful. When those kitties unsheathe their claws, it is wise to stay out of their way, and hope that it is not you they are after. #4 - ICE/FIRE Map Members: 97 Average Population: 1407 Top 20 players: 1 Top 20 offensive players: 2 Top 20 defensive players: 3 Radius: 149.9 Fields Density: 1.93 pop/field Quads: NE Comments: Well, this war-hungry alliance has dropped in rank since last time. They have finished crushing CRAP and ~KoH~, and now seem to be lazily picking off the survivors. I suspect that they have dropped in rank due to the amount of troops they have been producing and using, as focused on war as they were. As long as they do not turn their gaze on the alliance that I am in, I am quite happy with them destroying any alliances that take their fancy. #3 - =V= Map Members: 55 Average Population: 1469 Top 20 players: 0 Top 20 offensive players: 0 Top 20 defensive players: 1 Radius: 330.1 Fields Density: 0.24 pop/field Quads: Center Comments: These guys have really increased in rank. There was quite a bit of mudslinging and slander aimed at them though from [former] SBP members. Whose story is the real one, we shall never know. But, as we all know, history is always written by the victorious, and therefore, =V= must be right. #2 - RATAN Map Members: 50 Average Population: 2048 Top 20 players: 7 Top 20 offensive players: 5 Top 20 defensive players: 1 Radius: 133.2 Fields Density: 1.84 pop/field Quads: SW Comments: Just a few days ago, C_D declared war on RATAN. They no longer have that in their alliance page. Perhaps RATAN flexed their muscles and C_D ran in fear of them, realising that they could be easily squashed? In any case, nothing seems to have come of that declaration, except for giving RATAN a new future target.... #1 – KoN/KoNu/KwtrsN Map Members: 174 Average Population: 1532 Top 20 players: 5 Top 20 offensive players: 6 Top 20 defensive players: 2 Radius: 345.9 Fields Density: 0.71 pop/field Quads: SE Comments: My predictions have come true; KoN is now the number one alliance. A few weeks ago, when KoN and EDGE were duking it out, we wondered what exactly was going to happen. We now know; KoN is strong, they were not weakened by the fight, and they still control their area. Although, I wonder, since you have such an obvious hold over the SE, does perhaps it gets a tad boring sometimes?

ahhh only # 4 after taking out 2 alliances in the NE???? I would have thought us taking out 2 large alliances would have warranted a nice bump in the rankings but hey numbers are numbers.

If you had more people in the top 20 off and def, it could have made a difference. You were 4th in average pop and 6th in average total pop.
And why did your rankings change then? Focusing on massing troops instead of empire-building was the only plausible reason, unless you did some, uh, "reorganizing". |

Given how tight-knit PACK and NK are I'm wondering if the numbers would change at all if you combined the two. Technically they are still two different entities I suppose, but they certainly seem to have the same goals in mind.

I believe it wouldn't change the rankings at all, although it would cause NK to have a lower, and Pack to have a higher avg pop and average total pop.
So, perhaps Jackronian can tell us, is NK and Pack planning to merge, or just remain very close allies? |

I would like to suggest that you perhaps look at the top 40 offense and defensive players? The top 20 shows you the serious powerhouse players, indeed, but a significant number in the top 40 tells you quite a bit too. Diversified power is greater than centralized. I'd rather have 10 players in the top 40 than only 2 in the top 20 and none for another 20 ranks...

I understand what you say, but getting the offencive and defencive stats is one of the most annoying things to do, as the alliance is not listed on the stats page and you must click on every single player in order to find out what alliance they belong to. Also, if I included the top 40 in my calculations, then I would also have to change some other things and fiddle around with the numbers until I was satisfied that they did not affect the rankings too much or too little.
I will consider including the stats for the top 40 off and def - no promises though. I most likely won't. Yes, 5 ![]() Thanks for pointing out the typo ![]()
