So, how long you been a farm?

For a Teut, building anything but military infrastructure and troops for the first week severely limits you're growth potential.

Step 0: start at least 3-5 days after the server kicks off.

Day one.

1. Build wheat field up to level 2
2. Build main building to lvl 3
3. receive message from homeland regarding building a crop to lvl 3.
4. build crop to lvl 3.
5. build rally point
6. build barracks
7. build maces
8. receive shipment from homeland
9. build more maces
10. As soon as you have 3 maces raid the nearest person out of beginner protection. (why do you think you wait 3 days before you start playing.)
11. take resources from raid and build more maces
12. repeat step 11 until you have 15-20 maces
13. take some spoils and build warehouse and granary
14. repeat step 11 until you have 25-30 maces
15. build marketplace
16. use some of you're free gold to cash out all of you're extra iron, clay and some of you're wheat in exact proportions which allow you to build more maces.
17. repeat step 11 until you have 40 maces.
18. Drink lots of coffee, it's going to be a long night.
19. upgrade granary and warehouse to lvl 2
20. repeat step 11 until you have 60 maces
21. upgrade barracks to lvl 4

*Conditional and as needed: use free gold to redistribute your extra resources to build more troops.

Day 2:
22. repeat step 11 until you have 70 maces
23. upgrade barracks to lvl 6
24. repeat step 11 until you have 80 maces
25. upgrade warehouse and Granary to lvl 3
26. repeat step 11 until you have 90 maces

Day: 3
28: repeat step 11 until you have 100 maces
29: build lvl 3 cranny (optional)
30: upgrade main building to lvl 4
29: repeat step 11 until you have 110 maces
30: upgrade main building to lvl 5
31: build acadamy
32: repeat step 11 until you have 120 maces
33: research scouts
34: repeat step 11 until you have 130 maces
35: build 5 scouts who never leave in you're village

There's the first three days.

So far so good but only do the main building to level 2 for now. Wait until you get the resources from the merchants. Also, you have to make sure that your 7x7 has at least TWO wheat oasis. If not .. get the heck outta there and restart the server. Same goes for croppers within your 9x9.

ya lost me here. You can't start building troops until you have your warehouse and granary which brings you your marketplace. Why? Because if you do then you'll be wasting wheat and your first attacks will be delayed too long. The marketplace lets you move your resouces around so you can use ALL of your resouces immediately. A teuton should be attacking with 3+ maces within 2 hours of starting on a server. My personal best time is 1.5 hours or thereabouts. Here's the re-write on these steps:

5. main building 3
6. granary
7. warehouse
8. marketplace
9. rally
10. barracks
11. Build maces
12. Attack (not raid. No way they'll have troops this fast. Especially not Romans)

I believe that all of this should have already been done. The way I see it, you're about on your 7th or 8th hour which means you're about 4 hours behind. The 35 gold that you started out with should be properly used to activate Travian Plus and (if you so desire) to increase your wood production. This leaves you with 17 or so gold that I would use (as you've stated) to rearrange seriously lopsided resources.

Now your getting passive - VERY passive. Only upgrade your whse and granary as you need them. You should be building so many maces that you don't have time to stock resources. Also, your main building and academy (don't forget their prerequ's) needs to be upgraded to 10 first so you can build a town hall tomorrow. By the end of day 1 you should have 70+ maces already ... not day two. My personal best is 83.

Wow, what a wasted day. You're building barracks levels and you're only on 90 maces. That's only 20 or 30 more for the whole 24 hours?! At this point you should be at Residence level 8+, throwing about a 20 hour party in your town hall and constantly raiding with over 200 mace. No researching, no researching, no researching.

There's the first three days.
Cranny is a waste. You shouldn't have any fields built (outside of a level 3 wheat) and you shouldn't have any resources laying around. If the protection period is ONLY 3 days then the people in your 13x13 should be friggin terrified of you. They'd NEVER attack you ... because every once and a while, your larger farms should be introduced to about half of your complete mace force. And at this point that half should be about 120+. They're shyttin' their pants. No way they're coming after you.

You're granary's probably in the negative hundreds now and you'll need wheat to fill that so you don't crop kill yourself. If you're approaching crop kill then reinforce your neighbors with your troops. Tell them if they send the troops back that they're gonna die.

Scouts are death and a waste of resources at this point. Who cares what you got and why do you care what anyone else has after only 3 days? You're working on your second party and your settlers are already built and ready to go once that culture pops. Once your second village is settled (MUST BE A CROPPER - If there are no croppers within your 9x9 then I would suggest that you delete and start over. Of course you'd check that right away when you land on the new server) By the end of day 4 you should be ready to drop those settlers. Now upgrade your crop in the first village and research your axes. You may start to see horsies at this point but that's just some newb testing out his new toy. Don't fret it.

My two cents.

The troops arn't the point, it's the crannys that are a problem. As Teutons we have the advantage when raiding. If your wondering why crannys are a problem it's because while you are dramaticly increasing your offence they are trying to get thier crannys up high enough to protect the resources they're saving up to get better buildings with. Since you don't want your troops coming back empty handed.

I disagree. You must protect yourself from larger players when the protection dies off. Without a cranny you'll notice that you won't be able to keep up your dramatic income of troops and upgrades.

Without resource fields you will never actually become capable to get enough resources to level up and build and train troops to become invincable. At least not within 3 days.

TravPlay, Nailzz is one of the more experienced Teuton players. It is entirely possible to have a large army funded exclusively through raiding. It just sucks if you lose that army.
