    Default French presidential election, 2017

So today (April 23rd) is first round and the polls shows this:

Who do you think will win today or the two who would go to next round on May 7th?

It appears to be Le Pen and Macron are leading with Macron winning second round.

But Fillon and Melenchon are close enough to change results if the polls are being rigged/not accurate enough!

Mélenchon is interesting. The amount of support for Le Pen is disturbing.
And now I'll tell you what's against us, an art that's lived for centuries. Go through the years and you will find what's blackened all of history. Against us is the law with its immensity of strength and power - against us is the law! Police know how to make a man a guilty or an innocent. Against us is the power of police! The shameless lies that men have told will ever more be paid in gold - against us is the power of the gold! Against us is racial hatred and the simple fact that we are poor.
    - The Ballad of Sacco and Vanzetti, Joan Baez

He is kind of Le Pen of the left, some different angle of nationalism, also anti-EU, but I don't know much about him.

80 years is obviously long enough to forget what rabid nationalism can do.

France has always been a terrible place, even when they threw off the monarchy and grabbed onto irrelevancy with their death squads, disdain for free speech and a love of socialism/fascism.

They will more than likely follow the inane footsteps of America and get that racist Nationalist moron in.

Second round would be between Le Pen vs Macron.

Easy win for Macron. This is no way close as Trump Vs Clinton, or Brexit.

There are already stories about how "Russia hacked the French election." It is a form of clear mental illness, and possibly tourettes.

It is amazing that Macron married his teacher after she divorced her husband, and his "son" is older than him by 2 years

I thought that teacher-student relationship is considered taboo in the west for some reason, but it looks like it is not!

Underperforming in the initial vote is bad sign for a Trumpesque victory.

It's different when the woman is older and the man is younger. Men look at that as an accomplishment and not ****.

Le Pen's voters were nothing like Trump voters, as she did the best among the young and women.

Nobody won. That is why there is a run-off.

Thoughts on Trend Micro announcing they'd detected hackers, tied to Russia, attempting to influence the French election?

Well, if Trend got it, they obviously aren't covering their tracks as well as last time. As TB says, they know it works.
The more disturbing part is why they want her! And why does trump? Is it just a matter of "please join our club of nasty racist bullies"? Surely having the national front with power cannot be seen by anyone older than 30, or with any semblance of an education in basic history as anything except terrible? Does no one remember what they stood and stand for (no matter her temporarily dropping leadership) in Europe? What the hell has happened to the French?

I find this particularly disturbing, given it's just gone ANZAC day, and so many diggers died to get another nasty leader like her out of France.

There goes Rok spouting off accusations against people with zero proof, she wouldn't do that if talking about a black man.
