Whether liberal or conservative, you'd have to be an idiot to support getting rid of the individual mandate and allowing people to purchase plans across state lines. I'm still waiting for a proposal that will fix the pooled risk imbalance that those ideas would cause.

    Healthcare? give it to Bernie.

The country should -at least- provide basic health care for all people.

Well, but I'm open to extra-payments for people who are healthy-wise ignorant, and do too much smoking/drinking/sugar etc.!

You would have to be an idiot to support the mandate ever.

I beleive the Ryan's plan is to incentivize people to buy insurance by giving tax breaks towards the purchase of health insurance, theoretically allow insurance companies to sell anywhere in the U.S. would increase compitition - how that would prevent all insurance companies to just operate out of one state with low taxes and low regulations remain to be not explained. There is also the Health Savings Account idea that allows people to save money for the times they need to enter the ORs.

In actuality, what will likely happen is that millions will drop their insurance omce the mandate is gone, and less money in the pool will cause rates to increase. Perhaps more medical debts of which much could go unpaid leaving debt holders with toxic assets.

Agreed. Insane that we haven't reached that yet.

Absolutely not. Slippery slope there because that would just be the start of it.
However, having a junk food tax on fast food joints and grocery stores? I could see that. Find ways to make it cheaper to eat healthy and more expensive to eat garbage. NY state raised taxes on tobacco products to ridiculous heights a few years back. Caused a lot of people to quit (and a lot of people to buy their cigarettes at the local reservation). But people DID quit in droves (me included). Do the same thing to McDonald's, Burger King, etc. Make a HoHo 5 bucks more expensive and see how many people stop buying them.

It is no longer racist to not let those with food stamps buy "junk food"?

I don't know but it is pretty ignorant to suggest it.
First, there is no such thing as 'food stamps' anymore. It's SNAP and it's a card.
Second, there is only so much that is given per person in a family - certainly not enough to buy healthy foods in a way that could work. Healthy foods cost more and you have to go to the store more often to get them - fresh veggies and fruits only last so long. Most families receiving SNAP benefits don't have access to a vehicle as often as they would like to get the food from store to home.
However, some receive checks that can be used at Farmers' Markets for fresh fruits and veggies in season. Again, need a vehicle to get there and back and most that are poor enough to receive benefits don't have that.

If you find it fine to tax "junk foods," why literally pay people to eat junk foods?

Because people need to eat, cough, sometimes the only food within distance is from liqour stores and fast food chains.

Does being on the side of pollution, taking food and healthcare from the poor even bother you?

So workers should be paid more, yes?

Is a CEO's high salary theft of labor in your opinion?

Consent eliminates theft. Theft is literally taking without consent.

Taco Bell, KFC, and Pizza Hut are owned by Yum Foods, which is a subsidiary of Pepsi Co. Which is why you can only get Baja blast at TacoBell. So wrong pic is wrong.

Polluting the water and poisoning the air can only be determined if there is ownership. You are not a big fan of that though.

No. Its either common ownership of the populace of earth -including nonhumans- or ownership of mother nature. Which you neither believe in nor support.

Pepsi spun off Yum (then called Tricon) 20 years ago. They aren't connected anymore beyond having a lifetime contract to be the beverage supplier for Yum restaurants. While Kraft doesn't own the restaurant Taco Bell, it does own the Taco Bell brand of products sold in supermarkets.
